What I charge
I charge by a day rate, content retainer, or fixed project fee. I don't charge per word or an hourly rate unless it's for an editorial commission.
Blogging rates
£180 (circa 300-500 words)
£200 (circa 500-800 words)
£250 (circa 800-1500 words)
Small business Rate
Including independent creatives, smaller charities, and start-ups.
From £250 per day
Commercial day rate
Agencies and larger organisations
From £400
(based on outside IR35 working)
Content retainers to help you plan and budget for your content needs.
Perhaps you need flexible, additional editorial or content support for your organisation or team. That could be a certain number of hours of content per month or quarter.
Alternatively, plan ahead for busy periods such as major fundraising events, and schedule in time to take the pressure off your team.
For longer projects or longer form copy, I would recommend using an external proofreader (unless you have your own) which will cost circa £20 per hour and I’ll add it to my quote. There’s no VAT on top, and I don’t charge extra for meetings. For more info, check out my Terms of Service.
