Biochar is charcoal used for agricultural purposes and is created by a process called pyrolysis thermal-chemical decomposition of organic materials at high temperatures. I wrote simple brochure copy to explain the process, and potential benefits.
I wrote copy for the Gardener’s Biochar brochure, aimed at keen gardeners who want to use sustainable composting. The environmental benefits of using biochar are debated among climate experts, and it's certainly gained more press since the brochure was produced (although the two things are unrelated!)
